Rochester, NH - Edward "Tom" Foster, 82, of Dodge Street died Friday Nov. 15, 2019 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital after a brief illness. He was born Jan. 27, 1937 in Rochester, NH, the son of the late Telesphore and Lena (Dugas) Foster.
Tom was the husband of Dorothy Irene Foster (Richard). They were married in 1960 enjoying 59 years of marriage. He worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a Progressman for many years. He enjoyed being with family and was an avid outdoorsman. Fall was his favorite season. His passion was bird hunting with his three dogs, Shot, Buck and Pearl. Deer hunting, fishing and golfing were also special activities. Every spring he planted a large vegetable garden, with Jet Star tomatoes being his specialty. It gave him much pleasure to share his vegetables with neighbors. Tom also enjoyed spending time with friends at the Rochester Lodge of Elks.
Dorothy extends heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for all the help Tom received from their neighbors and friends.
