Gonic - Lois E. (Wilkinson) Sullivan, 75, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital. She was born in Lebanon, ME, the daughter of Florence (Bogart) Sawyer & her step-father, Guy Sawyer. Lois had a strong work ethic. She graduated from Spaulding High School, 1954. Lois retired after more than 25 years at Eastern Air Devices in Dover, NH; went to McIntosh College to get her AA degree in Para-legal Studies; was employed by the Maine District Court in York, ME, for 11 years until her retirement. As a child, Lois loved spending time with Grandpa & Grammie Bogart. She was a skilled seamstress & an involved labor union member in her earlier years. She followed NH Soap Box Derby with family in her middle years. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, study scriptures, go out to eat at Gary's & Windjammers after retirement. She generously donated to churches & charities over the years. Lois was strong & funny. Members of her family include her 3 daughters: Debra Drown-Lachance & husband, Neil of Rochester; Laurie Stanford & husband, Charles, of Winter Springs, FL; & Carol Marchacos & husband, Kenneth, of Rochester; 2 brothers: David Wilkinson of Rochester & Robert Sawyer of St. Marys, GA; & 2 sisters: Norma Rouleau & Donna Black of Escondido, CA; 8 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a special aunt, Eunice Grenier of Sanford, ME, & her 2 half-sisters, Lorene Smith-Bell & June Wilkinson; & 2 half-brothers, James Wilkinson & Kenneth Wilkinson; & many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents & husband, Robert. A memorial service will be held on Oct 7 at 11AM at Grace Baptist Church on Main St, E Rochester, NH 03868.
