Michael R. Gilfert

Rochester - Michael R. Gilfert, 30, was taken from us too soon on July 1, 2016.   Born April 29, 1986 in Rochester, NH. He is the son of Michael F. Gilfert, and Darlene (Brierley) McKenney.   He worked as a landscaper and general laborer.   Michael enjoyed fishing, hiking, basketball, Nascar with his brother, campfires, spending time with his family, and most importantly watching his children grow up.   The love for his children was above and beyond, they were his life. We as a family will hold him close to our hearts forever. He was so loved and will be missed dearly by so many.   Michael leaves behind his parents Darlene McKenney and husband Ira of Farmington, NH; his father Michael Gilfert and Jeannette of Rochester, NH; his Nana Mary Gilfert of Rochester, NH; his brother Allan Morgan and fiancé Dawn Maskell of Milton, NH; two sisters Tarsha Dumont of Rochester, NH; and Mary-Jo Hefferon and husband Timothy of Farmington, NH; his partner of 10 years Kendall Brown of Rochester, NH; his greatest gifts, his children Gavin, Hannah, Michael, Jr., Chloe, and Owen of Rochester, NH; his nieces Felicia Cook, Briana Arsenault, Alyssa Morgan, and Summer Patch, nephews Noah Dumont, Mason Morgan, Corey Patch, Jr. many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.   He is predeceased by his daughter Kylie Leigh Gilfert in 2010, his Papa Ronald Gilfert in 2003, his Uncle Russ Foss 2003, his Nana Ethelyn Brierley in 2007 and his brother-in-law Richard Dumont in 2014.   A burial service will be held Friday at 11:30 AM in the St. Mary Cemetery, located on Lowell St. in Rochester.   A celebration of Michael's life will be held Friday July 8, 2016 at 5PM at the American Legion, 94 Eastern Ave, Rochester, NH.
