Rochester NH- Albert "Al" Joshua Cook, 74, of 197 North Main Street died Wednesday July 24, 2013 at his home after a long illness. He was born May 28, 1939 in Brentwood, NH the son of the late John William and Louise (Dionizio) Cook. Al served in the U.S. Marines and has lived in this area most of his life growing up in Barrington. He worked as a drywaller for New England Homes of Portsmouth for over 30 years and had owned and operated his business, AJ Drywall. Al was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Rochester where he served as a deacon for many years. He enjoyed antique autos and watching sports on television. His joy in life was spending time with his family. Members of his family include his beloved wife of 19 years, Julie (Ronayne) Cook, Rochester; daughters, Kathy Cook-Stackpole, Rochester, Missie and husband Lucas Carlson ,Farmington, NH; brothers, Robert and wife Elaine Cook, Gonic, George and wife Ramona Cook, Barrington, Ernest and wife Florence Cook, Rochester, Sisters, Mary and husband Ron Barnes, Rochester, Arlene and husband Steve Bibeau, Raymond, Chris and husband Rick Devoe, Rochester, Helen and husband Tom Robertshaw, Rochester; grandchildren, Jaiden McDonald, Cara Morgan, Camrin Morgan, Dennis "DJ' Joshua Stackploe, and Kassidy Stackpole; mother-in-law, Barbara and husband Doug Baggs, Shapleigh, ME.; sisters-in-law, Sally Cook, Beverly Cook and Marie Cook all of Barrington, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, John, Joseph and David Cook, and father-in-law Edward Ronayne. The funeral service will be held Sunday July 28, 2013 at 12:00PM in the Rochester Seventh Day Adventist Church , 28 Cushing Blvd, Rochester NH with Pastor Bob Rice officiating. Burial will be In Pine Grove Cemetery, Barrington, NH. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Cornerstone VNA/ Hospice, 178 Farmington Road, Rochester, NH 03867.
