Jon Roger Robidas

Jon Roger Robidas, 62, passed away in his sleep of heart failure at his Milton, NH homeon April 20, 2023. He was born in Rochester, NH on May 21, 1960, the first born child ofRoger Robidas (deceased) and Marilyn (Grassie-Robidas) Berry. Raised in Rochester,NH, a 1978 graduate of Spaulding High School, he held a nearly straight A averagethroughout his 12 years of education where his thirst for knowledge never stopped. At avery early age he exhibited a precocious talent for drums and was among the youngestmembers ever admitted to the Graniteers Drum and Bugle Corps, at age 10, where theyprocured a mini set of timbales drums to fit his size. He went on to become a professionaldrummer in his later years. A gifted athlete, he has a box full of trophies in bowling,running, and basketball. Proud to represent the Rochester Lodge of Elks at age 12 intheir annual Hoop Shoot Contest, he became the State of NH Champion and won the firstrunner-up trophy at the New England Elks Hoop Shoot Competition in Albany, NY,methodically sinking 23 out of the 25 foul shots needed for a perfect score. An earlyentrepreneur, he started his own lawn care business at age 12, mowing and raking lawnsfor three years at a local mobile home park. His solid work ethic, innate ability for salesand desire to succeed, led him to California at the age of 20 where he went on to own andoperate his own successful electronics business, Logistic Components, for several years.In 1990, he returned to his much missed family and friends in his hometown of Rochester.Having enjoyed many years as a top salesman in the RV and Boat industry, in 2005 heopened his own business, Route 11 RV and Marine, LLC which is now in its 19thsuccessful year. His love of music and sports prevailed throughout his life as he enjoyedmany concerts at Meadowbrook in Gilford. A lifelong New England/Boston sports fan, heenjoyed both going to live games of the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and the NE Patriots orotherwise faithfully watching them on TV. He is remembered by his family and friends asa kind man who chose peace over war, a scholar, an athlete, a musician, an entrepreneurand a champion in all aspects of his life. But most of all, he will be revered as a generousman who cared deeply and gave everything while expecting very little in return. He washumble, intelligent, humorous, altruistic, hardworking, kind, fair, honest, loyal andauthentic. He was a true and gentle man with a heart of gold that stopped beating way toosoon. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his fiancée, Ellen Paquette,his mother, Marilyn Berry and his stepfather Robert "Cider" Berry, who raised, lovedand supported him since the age of 7, his siblings, Troy Robidas (Betty) of Rochester,Tiffany Berry Person (Erik) of IL, Susann Hellams Griffin of SC, his nieces and nephews,Tate Griffin, Arista Robidas, Colter, Kiree and Zachary Person and many extendedfamily members who he enjoyed throughout his life. Most of all, he will be missed by hismuch beloved best friend and adoring companion, his little dog, Lexi, who he treated likea baby.
