Born in New Durham, NH on June 13th, 1934 to Charlotte Kelley Johnson, June was predeceased by her husband Richard Burke Sr. and is survived by 2 sons, 2 daughters and their spouses; Richard Burke Jr. and wife Ellen from Lebanon, Michael Burke and wife Chris from Lebanon, Laura Bragg and husband Tony from Lebanon, Kelley Goodfield and husband Wayne from West Newfield. She has 9 adoring grandchildren, Carl Gregoire III and wife Carmen from Lebanon, Stephanie Hagenbuch and husband Rick from Lebanon, Patrick Burke and wife Keelan from Buxton, Crystal Constant and husband Mark from Limington, Jeffrey Goodfield and wife Peggy from New Jersey, Travis Bragg from Acton, Brett Burke from North Carolina, Devin Burke from Lebanon, and Shaylee Burke from Lebanon. 13 Great Grandchildren; Cody Parker and wife Brooklyn, Carl Gregoire IV, Calvin Gregoire, Richard Hagenbuch IV, Kelledy Burke, Arley Burke, Isabelle Constant, Levi Constant, Kali Goodfield, Jazzy Goodfield, Damien Taylor, Eivin Bragg, Kolton Bragg and two great great grandchildren, Maeve Parker and Elliott Parker. She is also survived by a brother, Bruce Johnson and wife Joanne from Newington, NH and a sister, Cheryl Chamberlin and her husband George from Alfred. June lived in Lebanon for over 80 years and was very active in her community. June volunteered on many committees; PTA, Quarterback Club, Town of Lebanon Bicentennial committee as well as other town celebrations, elections and in the local library. June was past Maine State Grange Lecturer and was active in the National, State and Lebanon Grange. June worked alongside her husband Dick at the Acton Fair for over 60 years. She could be spotted at the gate greeting attendees, in the fair campgrounds, riding alongside Dick in the buggy, or behind the scenes making sure everyone was fed. June also worked for many years as the pageant director for Miss Acton Fair and even after handing the reins over to her daughter Laura, she still attended to cheer on the contestants. June worked as a mail carrier and former postmaster before working in the kitchen in the Lebanon schools. June loved working in the lunchroom and being at the same school as her grandchildren. She was a very hard worker and loved all the children as if they were her own. June's grandchildren and great grandchildren gave her immense joy. She loved spending time with them and attending all their celebrations. She set the bar high as a grandmother by staying actively involved in all their lives. Birthdays, sporting events, graduations, dance recitals, school concerts, and all other events never happened without her presence. They all felt fortunate to have her in their lives. June had many passions: books, gardening, feeding the birds, family, food and Christmas! If she ran out of new books to read, she would simply reread one she had already finished. She loved talking about what you were reading as well as what she had just finished. Christmas was a special time for her as she enjoyed shopping for others. She began her shopping with a special North Conway family shopping trip on Veteran's Day and continued with family Black Friday shopping. June's family will have a Celebration of Life in Lebanon in the spring. Details will be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, June would like donations to be made to the Good Shepherd Food Bank.
