Louise June Castonguay

West Lebanon, ME- Louise June Castonguay, 93, passed away on Monday Sept. 3, 2018 with her family by her side at the Gafney Home in Rochester after a period of failing health.She was born Feb. 7, 1925 in Sanford, ME the daughter of the late Leona (Birch) Glidden and lived most of her life in East Rochester. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends up at camp. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and the two visited all 50 states and the Canadian provinces together.Louise is survived by her loving husband of 76 years, Norman Castonguay; two daughters, Karen Paquette and husband Roger of Milton Mills, NH, Andrea Dupont and husband Edward of Durham, NH; 5 grandchildren, Marc Paquette, Brett Paquette and wife Christina, Jill Hilfiker and husband Jeff, Lindsey Dupont and husband Dave Garneau, and Ashley Dupont; 6 great grandchildren, Brock, Reece and Wade Paquette, Ian, Nate and Shelby Hilfiker as well as several nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by an infant son, Norman Louis.The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Gafney Home and at Cornerstone VNA and Hospice for their kindness and care of Louise.At her request, there will be a private graveside service.
