Alan R. Hackert

Strafford, NH-Alan Robert Hackert, 63, passed away suddenly at his Strafford, NH home on Thursday, August 17, 2023.  He was born on November 5th, 1959 in Schenectady, NY to the late William P. Hackert Sr. and the late Marion R. Hackert.  He loved his family and was devoted husband to Jeanne and proud father of son Alex of Manchester, NH.  He was brother to Carl (Catherine) of Ballston Spa NY, Ruth (Craig)  Goldstein, of Goose Creek, SC, Frank of Rotterdam, NY, John (Sherrill McGill) of Charlton, NY and William Hackert, Jr. (Deceased) of Rotterdam, NY.; sister-in-law Sheila Hackert.  He was especially proud of his granddaughter, Emelyn and grandson Evan children of his stepson Arthur Landry and had many nieces and nephews.  Alan was a graduate of Mohonasen High School, Class of 1977, Hudson Valley Community College Class of 1979 and The University of New Hampshire.  He was employed as a field engineer in the 1980s for Universal Instruments in Binghampton, NY prior to joining General Electric in Somersworth,...
