Alberta Callaghan

ROCHESTER - Alberta O. Callaghan, 87, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, following an inspirational battle with cancer.Born March 9, 1922, in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Olga (Olsen) Massey.Alberta was a graduate of Rochester High School. She was a communicant of St. Mary Catholic Church in Rochester, and was a former board member of the Homemakers of Strafford County Auxiliary.Members of her family include her children, Timothy R. Callaghan and his wife, Cynthia, of Nashua and Joanne Gray and her husband, James P., of Rochester; grandchildren, James T. Gray, Jonathan Gray, Jennifer Kinville, Jessica Greco, Lisa Horvath, and Timothy J. Callaghan; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Dot Callaghan, Joan Callaghan, Madelyn Elliott, and Barbara Provenzano; many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her husband, John E. Callaghan; her son, Kevin N. Callaghan; and two sisters, Evelyn Churchill and Helen Jenness.Family and friends may visit...
