Alexander Mackenzie

Rochester - Alexander "Bud" Mackenzie, 70, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, November 15, 2013 at his home in Tara Estates. Born on August 21, 1943 in Portsmouth, NH, he was the son of the late Alexander and Mildred Thorne Mackenzie. Bud grew up in Newington and Stratham where he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father. He graduated from Exeter High School in 1961 and later served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Andrew's Masonic Lodge in Portsmouth, NH and worked for 31 years as a nuclear inspector at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard until he retired. Bud enjoyed discussing history and politics, reading, genealogy, chess, exploring the world on his computer, and rooting for the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
