Rochester, NH - Alice M. Ruginski, 87, of 35 Shaw Drive, Rochester, NH passed away at home after a brief illness on Thursday, September 1, 2016 in the loving care of her daughter and son in law. Alice was born in Rockland, Ma. Where she attended Rockland high school then continued on to trade school for cosmetology. She became a hair dresser where she owned and operated her own hair salon. She met and married Walter J. Ruginski of Hanover, Ma. and was married for 51 years. After the birth of her first child she became a homemaker for many years and resided in Buxton, Maine. Some of her many talents included cooking, sewing and knitting. Her greatest joy in life was raising her four children. Throughout her life she stayed very involved in the many activities of her children. She had many happy years in Buxton, Maine antiquing and shopping with her close friends in her free time. She was a wonderful mother and friend to all. One of the biggest joys in her life was spending time with her 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren always attending events with special handmade gifts she sewed or knitted herself. These gifts are still cherished to this day from her grown grandchildren. She had a very special relationship with her youngest great granddaughter Ryleigh. Alice was predeceased by her first born son Kevin Jay Ruginski in 1997. Her family includes her son Jay W. Ruginski and wife Cindy of Buxton, Maine, daughter Linda L. Crevier of Barrington, NH and daughter Karen A. Keravich and Jody of Rochester, NH, her 10 loving grandchildren who include: Amanda, Randy, Jamie, Alyson, RJ, Jessica, Jaimie, Jason, Melissa and Nicole, and 6 great grandchildren. There will be a private family burial. The family invites all friends and relatives to a Celebration of Alice's Life on Saturday September 17, 2016 at 35 Shaw Drive, Rochester, NH from 1PM - 4PM. Luncheon will be served.
