East Rochester, NH- Allan W. Hodgkins, 86, of 27 Cross Road died Monday Feb. 18, 2019 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born May 10, 1932 in Pittsfield, Maine the son of the late Adrian and Viola (Skipton) Hodgkins. Allan was a graduate of Spaulding High School, Class of 1950 where he played baseball and football. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956 the worked in the office of New England Telephone Company for 34 years. He was an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church since 1945 and also a member of Humane Lodge #21 and the grange. Allan served on the Cemetery and Baseball committees for East Rochester. The widower of Lillian (Allen) Hodgkins, he is survived by son, Dana Hodgkins; daughters, Donna I Lessard and husband Michael, Karen M. Hodgkins; grandchildren, Kristopher and Deidre Lessard, Cody and Dakota Hodgkins; great grandson, Dominic Hinojos; sisters- in law, Beverly Allen, Priscilla Warren and several nieces, nephews, cousins. Family and friends may visit Friday March 1, 2019 from 5-7PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11 AM in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Jean Main officiating. Burial will be in New Cold Spring Cemetery, East Rochester NH in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 24 Main Street, East Rochester, NH 03868.
