Alonzo Eli Blaisdell Jr., 90, lifetime resident of Lebanon, Maine passed away at his home surrounded by his family on June 10, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Eli Blaisdell Sr. and Lillian Hersom Blaisdell and his six older siblings. He leaves behind his loving companion, Judy White; his two daughters Raylaine B. Henderson (Tim) of Sardis, Alabama, Darleen B. Dupuis (Tommy) of Sanford, Maine and Gary White (Joyce) of East Rochester, New Hampshire, grandchildren Brandon, Ryan, Savannah, Danielle, Joshua, Samual, Miranda, Katimae, Justin, Duncan, and Jasmine, numerous great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. After eight years of service with the United States Air Force, he went to work at Hubbard Shoe. He later went on to serve 34 years at General Electric. Alonzo was known by many different names; he would answer to Lonnie, Al, Junior and Blabber. He got the name Blabber by Merle Tibbetts at the drugstore in East Rochester. At a young age Alonzo would wait for the school bus along with other children; being the most talkative Merle named him Blabber. Lonnie had a love for all sports. He played for various baseball and softball teams including General Electric. His daughters would refer to him as a walking encyclopedia of sports knowledge. He loved skiing all the way up to the age of eighty-five. He even rode his spyder motorcycle up to last fall. Lonnie just loved life and he lived it to the fullest. He also loved and took great pride in his baking. Many people were blessed by his homemade donuts, muffins, peanut butter fudge, raspberry squares, cookies and pies. Lonnie, also had a love for music, he could play the piano by ear. He touched so many lives in his 90 years. He will be missed dearly. His family rests in the peace knowing he is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The family will receive friends and family at Edgerly Funeral Home in Rochester, N.H. Thursday June 15, 2023 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Graveside following at Old Cold Spring Cemetery in East Rochester, N.H. Jim Critchlow officiating. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cornerstone VNA for their comfort and support.
