Anne M Bowen, formerly of Rochester, passed on October 15, 2024, at The Lodges Care Center in Springvale, ME.
Anne was born on April 14, 1936, in Malden, MA to Robert F and Ethrilla (Eveleth)
Bonamo. She was raised in Barrington NH and the San Diego area of California.
Anne was employed at Jerry’s Shop and Save, and The Globe Department Store in Rochester, in the office and as manager of the snack bar. At the age of 50 she earned her GED from The Rochester School Department and went on to also earn her CNA license through Rochester Manor’s CNA Course. She worked at Riverside Rest Home until her
retirement.
Anne was married to Robert (Bob) Bowen, until his death in 2006, less than 1 month shy of their Golden Wedding Anniversary. A gifted crafter, she was well known for her homemade dolls and other crafts. She was a Volunteer for the American Cancer Society, taking part in The Annual Relay for Life in Rochester and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Events at UNH in Durham.
