Obituary

April Joan Wilson, 38, of Strafford, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2026. She was born on March 31, 1988, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Linda Coughlin and Frederick Wilson.

April was raised in Strafford, where she attended local elementary schools and later graduated from Coe-Brown Northwood Academy, Class of 2006. She went on to begin a caring and dedicated career as a Licensed Nursing Assistant at the Veterans Home in Tilton, where she made a lasting impact on those she served.

April found joy in the outdoors and lived life with a spirited sense of adventure. She loved four-wheeling, hiking, and fishing, and felt most at peace near the water or surrounded by nature. She also had a creative soul and a natural talent for art. Whether she was working on detailed art pieces or crafting woodworking projects, April took pride in creating meaningful gifts for her friends and family.

She had a special love for the beach and never passed up a chance to enjoy a slice of Tripoli’s pizza. Above all, April’s greatest pride and deepest love were her children, who meant everything to her.

April is survived by her beloved son, Kadin Wilson, and daughter, Dakota Kaiser. She is also survived by her siblings: Kenneth Wilson of Newton; Melissa Wilson of White River Junction, Vermont; Amy O’Brien and her husband Billy of Newton, New Hampshire; Angel Wilson of Northwood, New Hampshire; and Alyson Midwood and her husband Jared of Strafford, New Hampshire.her longtime partner Peter Crateau. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A celebration of April’s life will be held at the Strafford Grange Hall May 2, 2026 12pm-3pm
