Armand, went to school, in Rochester, attending Old Rochester High School.
In 1941, Armand enlisted in the US Navy, where he served his nation duringWorld War II, for 6 Years being Honorably Discharged as a Motor Machinist'sMate, First Class. During his enlistment, he took part in the "D" Day Invasion of France.
Once stateside, Armand was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as aMechanical Engineering Technician for 24 Years, retiring in 1981. Armand also, owned and operated Dostie Refrigeration of Rochester for over 10 Years.
Armand was an avid genealogist who traced his family roots to a Noble FrenchFamily "DeBellot". He has also worked with Working Dog Foundation, which trained German Shepherds with the area Police Departments. Armand raised and trained many four-legged companions.
