Rochester, NH- Armand J. "Rocky" Aubert, 88, of 5 Gary Drive died Tuesday May 1, 2018 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 19, 1929 in Sanford, ME to the late Fortuna and Rose (Doyon) Aubert. He resided in Rochester for 76 years and was a general contractor for AJ Aubert & Sons. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church. Rocky served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force retiring as a tech sergeant. It's impossible to list all his accomplishments. As he would say "been there, done that." He was a local general contractor and a world traveler. During the winter months he resided in the Philippines and most recently Thailand. In the summer months he would often be seen enjoying life raking the beach at his "Camp Sachem", the undisputed nicest spot on Mousam Lake in Shapleigh, Maine. He spent his summers at his camp since 1964 where all were welcome to enjoy boating, horseshoes, volleyball, even an 18- hole Kick & pitch golf course he made himself. He was especially proud of his military career which included nine flights into Moscow during the "Cold war", flying the Kennedy's and their families throughout Europe, and flying Senator Russel and Secretary of State Dean Rusk on many European Missions. He was on the flight that brought Gary Powers from Berlin to Frankfurt during the famous "spy trade". He was especially proud of his certified diver card, number 5 in the world, which he still carried in his wallet. He loved hiking, camping, and gold mining. He was a high school gymnast, Air Force ski team, Pilot, boy scout leader, diver, brother, son, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him. Rest In Peace. Members of his family include his wife Linda (Sanchez) Aubert; son, Thomas Aubert; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Trottier; sister-in-law, Elsie Aubert, previous wife Myra Aubert.
