In loving memory of Armando Olivares, who passed peacefully with his family by his side, on January 28, 2024. He was born on June 23,1929 in Cozad, Nebraska. He was the son of Arturo and Amelia Olivares and the oldest of seven children.
Armando lived in Arizona and California as a child. He was drafted into the Army. during the Korean War and served two years in Japan. After the war, he began his career in the aerospace industry as a rocket test technician with Aerojet in Sacramento, CA. After Aerojet, he worked at McClellan AFB where he met his future wife, Carolyn. They married in 1954 and had three children. Armando worked for 36 years in the Aircraft Support Systems as a civilian in the Air Force. Several moves during his career took his family to Idaho, New Hampshire, and eventually to England, where they lived for 11 years.
