Arnold Howard

Rochester, N.H. -Arnold W. Howard, 73, of 46 Strafford Rd died on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Hyder Hospice House in Dover N.H. Born on May 21, 1941 in Rochester, N.H. He was the son of the late Roger H. Howard and Natalie K. (Jenness) Howard. Arnold was a life-long resident of Rochester N.H. and a 1959 graduate of Spaulding High School. Afterward, he served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1966. He was employed at Eastern Air Devices for 42 years as a Senior Maintenance Mechanic. He was very active with his family and especially with his grandchildrens' sports and activities. He enjoyed camp #7-14 in Wentworth Location just north of Errol N.H. where he would spend time with family and friends, ride on his pontoon boat and teach his grandchildren to fish. Members of his family include; his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Ann (Wilson) Howard of Rochester, his son, Kirk W. Howard and his wife Jennifer of Rochester, a daughter, Tracy L. Ham and her husband Russell W. Ham of New Durham, his grandchildren; Brianna, Kaitlyn and Nathaniel Ham, Austin and Ethan Howard, his brothers; David H. Howard of Strafford and Leo C. Howard and his wife JoAnn of Laconia, a brother-in-law Greg Wilson of Rochester, a sister-in-law Kathryn A.Wilson of Farmington. NH; his best friend Ron Foss of Milton, NH; many special cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother-in-law Howard Wilson, a grandson, Kyle Barnes, a niece, Holly (Howard) Dorr, nephews; David Howard Jr. and John H. Howard, and a very good friend, Sandra Foss. Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 10-11am and a funeral service at 11am in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 south Main St. Rochester, N.H. 03867.
