Barrington, NH- Barbara Ann Lemay, 83, formerly of North River Lake died Friday Feb. 24, 2017 at Bellamy Fields in Dover after a long illness. She was born July7, 1933 in Rochester the daughter of the late Myrtie (Stevens) Pelletier. She has been a resident of this area all of her life. Barbara's career as a nurse spanned many years and avenues. She worked for 17 years at Frisbie Memorial Hosiptal before moving to the Rochester Manor. She helped open the Rochester Manor in 1972 as the Director of Nurses. She was Administrator of the Manor from 1974 until 1980. She followed that with other nursing home administrative positions with McKerley Management Services and Webster at Rye until her retirement. She served on many state and regional committees and boards during her career. Her dedication to nursing and the care of the elderly was exemplary. She enjoyed boating, sailing, traveling, square dancing and playing bridge with her friends. The widow of George Lemay who died in 1980, she is survived by her children, Donna and husband Daniel Ladisheff of Rochester, David Lemay and fiancée Bernadette Kaszynski of Alton, NH; Mary and husband Sterling Wallingford of Rochester ; grandchildren, Kaytie Gilpatrick, Shawn Cota, William Wood, Brian Wood, Erika Frankel, Jeremy Lemay, Kirk Wallingford, Jaye Patton; 10 great grandchildren and 3 nephews.   Family and friends may visit Friday, March 3, 2017 from 5-7PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH. The funeral will follow at 7 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
