Barbara Martins

Rochester - Barbara L. Martins, 64, passed away suddenly Monday February 22, 2010 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Born December 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late James and Leona (Kruk) DiGirolamo. Her children wrote: "Mom held the special times with her family dear to her heart and was especially grateful for the moments she shared with her children and grandchildren. They are the apple of my eye'. She was full of love and kindness and will be missed greatly by her family and everyone who knew her." Barbara worked as a secretary for the state of California and later as a nursery school teacher at The School on the Hill in Rochester. She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church of Rochester and also a proud member of TOP'S. Members of her family include her husband Robert Martins of Rochester, NH; her children Christopher Parrish of Denver, CO; and Cindy (Parrish) Mitsakis, Winchester, MA; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, her siblings James DiGirolamo of Gold River, CA; Joyce Coker of Lake Forrest, CA; and Alexandra Bell of India; nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call Friday February 26, 2010 from 11 AM - 1 PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will take place in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Dover, NH.
