Barbara J. Scott

Barbara Jane Winkley Scott, passed away on August 23, 2024, after a long illness. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home in Rochester NH, surrounded by family. Born and raised in Rochester NH, Barbara was a Graduate of Spalding High School and of the Concord School of Nursing. She was also an alumnus of the University of New Hampshire where she received her Bachelors and her master's in psychology. As a nurse she was highly skilled working primarily in the operating room. After her career in Nursing, Barbara became an active member of the Rochester Court Drug Diversion Program. Her commitment to her community was always most important to her. This commitment led her to join the Board of Directors of the Gafney Home for the Aged and the Frisbee Memorial Hospital. She was a talented writer, orator, and singer and a loving and caring wife and mother.
