Bertha Foss

ROCHESTER - Bertha (Picard) Foss of Rochester passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born in September 1925 in Rochester, the daughter of Napoleon and Sarah (Winkley) Picard.  Bertha graduated from Spaulding High School and later married her high school sweetheart Harold Foss Jr. Bertha worked at the telephone company and then owned Colonial Crafts teaching ceramics.  Later, she worked at Frisbee Memorial Hospital until she retired as a nurse's aide. Bertha was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved joining the Red Hats on outings and dancing at Spaulding High School and in South Berwick with her friends.  Luncheons with her classmates were always a special time for her.  She loved driving through NH, boating, snowmobiling, jet skiing, enjoying time at the lake and spending time with family and friends.
