Bertram Merrill Tilton

Bertram Merrill Tilton, 84, loving husband of the late Lauretta (Bishop) Tilton, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, September 28th, 2018. Born on June 16, 1934 in Kittery Point, Maine, he was the son of the late Bertram and Mildred (Pinkham) Tilton. Bertram's sense of adventure led him to serve his country in the United States Air Force for twenty years. He then went on to serve in a civilian role for the Department of Defense for an additional twenty years. He met his late wife Jean while stationed at Pepperrell Air Force base in Newfoundland, Canada. They had five children, and shared fifty-nine wonderful years together. The discipline and patriotism he acquired in the Air Force never elapsed as friends and family will attest.
