Bettie Louise Johnson

Bettie Louise Johnson Lebanon, Maine- Bettie Louise (Sanford) Johnson died on Thursday, March 24, 2022 following a period of failing health in Colorado while visiting with her daughter and family. Born July 23, 1937, the daughter of the late James Andrew and Mary Louise (Gibbs) Sanford of Petersburg, VA. Bettie grew up in Petersburg until she met the love of her life, David E while he was stationed at a nearby Army base. The newly married couple then moved to Massachusetts where they raised their family until moving to Lebanon, Maine. Bettie was a long-standing member of Grace Baptist Church in East Rochester serving her Lord and Savior there for 40 years. In her life time she worked with Girl Scouts, Child Evangelism Fellowship and the Good News Clubs as well as Vacation Bible School, Nursery and Junior Church programs.
