Betty Bruchert

SOMERSWORTH - Betty Jeanette (Kean) Bruchert, 91, passed away peacefully at Rochester Manor on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, with her daughter by her side. She was born January 3, 1922, in Painesville, Ohio, the daughter of Will and Clara (Rogerson) Kean. She had two older sisters, Dorothy and Gladys. As a young girl, she moved to Hollywood, Florida, with her family. It was there that she graduated high school and completed secretarial training. She was employed with an insurance company during World War Two when she met the love of her life, a young Navy man named William Bruchert. They were happily married for 63 years and were known as a couple, Bill and Betty. It is a great comfort to know they are now reunited. After Bill's retirement from Southern Bell, they lived in Livingston, Montana, for a number of years before touring the country and making several trips overseas.
