Brenda Lee (Guptill) Oliver Born in Manchester New Hampshire June 21, 1953, Brenda peacefully joined her husband Gordon on November 17, 2021 while she was residing in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine Born in Manchester, NH, Brenda grew up in Pinardville (Goffstown). She attended local Catholic elementary and primary schools grades 1-8 and Goffstown High School for her secondary years, graduating in 1971. During these years, she developed a love for all types of music and later on a desire to share this love with others. Brenda went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts followed by a Masters degree in Music. Mainly working with elementary school students and later teaching private music lessons, she instilled her love and appreciation of music in others through teaching music theory, instruments and even musical puppet shows that her students performed. If you ever visited her, you would catch her creating instruments, lessons or even puppets for her beloved students or playing with her cats. During this time, she met Gordon Oliver, also a passionate lover of music, and was married on September 12, 1981. Together they embarked on a journey of almost 40 years sharing their love of music with all they encountered and passionately celebrated their love of God and the Church through volunteering as music directors, chorus directors as well as other Church duties. Brenda was an auxiliary member of the Rochester VFW Post and if you attended any Memorial Parade services it is most likely the ones playing taps at the laying of the wreath were Brenda and Gordon. Brenda was pre-deceased by her husband Gordon Oliver of Rochester, her father Warren Guptill and Patricia (O'Brien) Guptill of Exeter, her uncle James O'Brien of Fremont, and her sister Wanda (Guptill) Pike of Rumford, Maine. She is survived by her sister Patricia (Guptill) Parkinson and her husband Richard Parkinson of Corinna, Maine ; her Aunt Toni Pease of Orford, NH; her nieces Tricia Parkinson, Genesis, Ginger, Phoebe, and Grace Pike; her nephews Matthew Pike, Eric Parkinson and Joshua Parkinson; and cousins Richard Carter, James Carter, Kellie Quackenbush, Sallie Wendelin, and Mary O'Brien. Brenda gave her complete self to everybody she encountered. She opened her heart and soul to truly help others in need and share her love of music and now she and Gordon are singing and celebrating with the Angels in Heaven.
