Carol Ashley

ROCHESTER - Carol A. Ashley, 83, resident of Golden Crest, Franklin, N.H. and formerly of 2 Second St., died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Dartmouth, N.H. after a brief illness.She was born Nov. 13, 1925 in Saugus, Mass., the daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Gunnison) Bryer. She had resided in Franklin for a year and one half and in Rochester since 1970. Mrs. Ashley worked as a secretary and bookkeeper, in her family business, Blaisdell Printing Company for many years with her husband. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Rochester and the Womens Group. As a young woman, she enjoyed skiing, and the out of doors. Her hobbies were knitting and crocheting. Mrs. Ashley especially liked staying in touch with friends whom she met while being a member of a military family traveling around the country.The widow of James Ashley, who died in 2005, she is survived by one son, Kevin Ashley of Rochester; her daughter, Dawn Ashley Lemieux of Groton, N.H.; five...
