Carol Ann Henson

Rochester – Carol Ann Henson, 79, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Oceanside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hampton following a period of failing health.

Born March 15, 1946, in Portsmouth, NH, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln and Mary (Metrick) Hanscom.

Carol was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved reading science fiction and fantasy novels, playing pool, doing arts and crafts which included beading jewelry and knitting. She thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors while camping and fishing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her two sons, David Henson and wife Adrienne of Rochester, NH and Scott Henson and wife Kelli of Chesapeake, VA; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; her three brothers Lincoln, Mark and Keven Hanscom as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carol was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Douglas Henson in 2021.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Carol’s family asks that donations be made to any charity of choice in her honor.
