Dover, NH- Caroline Ackman, 80, of Nile Street passed away March 5 at Wentworth Douglass hospital after a brief illness. Born May 25, 1937 in Anoka, MN to the late Elmer and Ida (Sodman) Schwab, she was the middle of 7 children. Caroline was a dedicated homemaker and member of the Emmanuel Advent Christian Church. She lived in New Hampshire since 1966, after moving from Puerto Rico with her husband of 61 years, Theodore. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and taking walks together. Caroline volunteered for Meals on Wheels, babysitting, Sunday school, and in the church choir. She loved sewing, gardening, decorating cakes, and photography. She is survived by her husband Theodore "Ted" Ackman; her son Steve and wife Deb Ackman; her daughter Cheryl and husband Mike Rudolph; one brother and two sisters; her grandchildren Beth Sargent, Melinda Wiens, Christopher Rudolph, and Elisa Zoller; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers, and her son Theodore Ackman Jr. and his wife Robin.
