Rochester NH-Caroline Goodell, 83, of 67 Ten Rod Road died Sunday March 9, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving and caring family. Born September 30, 1930 in Rochester, NH she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Lucille ( Houle) Fisher. Caroline is a life long resident of Rochester. She is a graduate of Spaulding High School class of 1948. She was employed at General Electric, Luneaus Restaurant and Spaulding High School Cafeteria, but most importantly, she was a loving mother to her 6 children. She enjoyed many activities including cooking, dancing, gardening, bird watching out her back window and camping with her family especially in Pittsburg, NH and at White Lake State Park. Members of her family include her husband of 61 years, George Goodell of Rochester, her son Mike Goodell and his wife Trish of Ashford, CT, daughters Gail Wade of Tamworth, NH, Karen Brown and her husband Robert of Milton, Wendy Fontaine and her husband David of New Durham, Cindy Ruginski and her husband Jay of Buxton, ME, her 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren who were very special and meant the world to her, her faithful dog Bailey, a step sister, Sandra Johnson of Jacksonville, FL, 2 special nieces Lee Williams and Nancy Beede. She is predeceased by her son Mark Goodell in 1999 and a great granddaughter in 2013. The family would like to thank all those who gave Caroline exceptional care in her time of need. Calling hours will be held Friday 2-4 and 6-8 at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester NH 03867. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in the Old Riverside Cemetery, Alton NH in the Spring.
