Carolyn is survived by her lifelong partner and husband of 41 years, Scott Beranger; her daughters Amy Beranger and Kim Gildea (Beranger); and her three adored granddaughters, Mayson Gildea, Ahna Beranger-McNulty, and Quinn Gildea. She leaves behind her sister, Sharon K. Richey, her brothers, Jay (wife Renee) Richey, and Paul (wife Donna) Richey, and sister-in-law Debra Thompson. Carolyn was the embodiment of kindness, patience, peace, and joy. She was a genuine soul with incredible fortitude. She faced life's ups and downs with grace, always finding the silver lining and spreading positivity wherever she went. Whether she was listening to her favorite music, relaxing on the back deck, or spending a sunny day at the beach, Carolyn lived life with enthusiasm. She had a deep love for people, her pets, birds, good books, holidays, and, most of all, her family and friends. Being a "Nana" was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment with her granddaughters.
To know Carolyn was to love her. Her warmth, laughter, and incredible personality touched so many that she met, and her bright spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.
