Carolyn F. Ranagan

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carolyn Frances Ranagan on
December 19th, 2024, at her home in Rochester NH.
Carolyn is predeceased by her parents Albert and Mary Bickford as well as her husband
Alfred Ranagan whom she was happily married to for almost 30 years.
Carolyn is survived by brother Donald Bickford and his wife Connie Bickford, daughter
Cathleen Landry and her husband Walter Landry Jr., son Daniel Ranagan, and daughter Susan
Boonen and her husband Chance Boonen; grandchildren Micheal Pike and his wife Jen Pike,
Randy Couch Jr., and Rachel Johnson and her husband Aaron Johnson as well as great
grandchildren Brayden, Madeline and Mason Pike and a soon-to-be fourth great grandchild
Lucas Johnson.
Carolyn was born in Rochester NH in 1942 and attended Spaulding High School class of
1960, she had strong friendships that lasted since her childhood and high school days. Carolyn
had a career at the Rochester Child Care Center for 30 years as a teacher and was known by
many in Rochester as the friendly face working in the Administration Office.
She loved time spent with family, the beach, Ossipee Lake, traveling, lobster cookouts
by her pool, her social hour with friends at Planet Fitness 3 times a week, walking her granddog
Layla around the block with her neighbors, and stopping to talk with any familiar face that she
ran into within her community.
Carolyn was a light in everyone's life that she encountered. She was a wonderful mother,
grandmother, and friend offering support, wisdom and love in abundance. Carolyn lived her life
to the fullest and had a great sense of humor; she was a joy to be around and will be deeply
missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Kimball Cemetery followed by a
celebration of life, date to be announced.
