Milton- On February 25, 2012, Charles L. Henderson passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Hyder House in Dover, NH. Charlie was born on August 28, 1929 to Ruth (Gerrish) and Edwin Henderson. Charlie was born and raised in the Rochester and graduated from Spaulding High School, class of 1947. In 1951, Charlie married Mildred Copp of Rochester, NH; Charlie and Millie raised their four children on the family farm in Rochester. Prior to their retirement they owned and operated Henderson's Greenhouse & Garden Center and Happy Valley Camping Area. He was a member of the New Hampshire Plant Growers Association, New Hampshire Campground Owners Association and New Hampshire Giant Pumpkin Growers Association. In 2005 they built a new home in Milton, NH. The Henderson home was a constant center of activity. Charlie and Millie spent many winters in Florida. Over the last few years, they enjoyed working in their gardens with the help of their friend, Claudia. In his free time he enjoyed growing giant pumpkins. Charlie is survived by Millie, his wife of 60 years, his brother Robert Henderson and wife Louise, son Dana Henderson and wife Roberta of Barrington, NH, daughter Robin (Peters) and husband Mike Currier of Plymouth, NH, son Robert Henderson, and wife Barbie of Milton, NH, and daughter Sandra McKee and husband David of Somers, CT; 10 grandchildren , Stacey(Seckendorf) Colton, Kristin Everett, Justin Seckendorf, Daniel Henderson, Lindsey DuPont, Christopher Henderson, Dana Henderson, Kelly Peters, Rick Henderson, and Nicole McKee; 2 step grandchildren, Stacie Lemke and Tracie Grondin; 7 great grandchildren, Emmabelle Colton, Caroline Colton, Evan Colton, Espen Henderson, Olivia Seckendorf, Bruin Henderson, and one on the way; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Charlie was predeceased by his sisters Marion Henderson and Marjorie Carroll; and his brother Franklin Henderson. The Henderson Family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for the heartfelt care by the nursing staff on the CCU wing at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hyder House, 285 County Farm Road, Dover,NH 03820 or the Rochester Visiting Nurses Association, 178 Farmington Road, Rochester, NH 03867 Calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 29th, 2012 from 1 PM to 3 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3 PM Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Farmington, NH in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of the R. M.
