ROCHESTER ; Charlie Irving, 83, of Reagan Drive, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at the Rochester Manor after a brief illness.Born Feb. 24, 1926, in Salisbury, Mass., he was the son of the late Thomas and Julia (Eaton) Irving. In his youth, he lived in the Exeter, N.H., area.Mr. Irving had lived in Rochester for nearly three years. He also lived in Ocala, Fla., Hodgdon, Maine, and Plainville, Conn. He enjoyed outdoor activities, such as hunting and fishing, especially in the White Mountains. He was particularly fond of fishing for bluefish as well. He was very proud of the fact he worked in the lumber camps of northern New Hampshire and Maine, as a young man. He was an avid reader. He was a Master Mason in the Plainville, Conn., Lodge of Masons and active in the Methodist Church in Hodgdon, Maine.
