Charolotte Ann Raymond

d. March 9, 2021

Charolotte Ann Raymond of Delray Beach Florida, (age 75), passed away Tuesday, March 9th at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. after a long courageous battle with Amyloidosis.  Her magnetic personality, loving nature, compassion, quick wit, endless generosity, and savvy business sense were all a part of what we and many others will miss about her. Charolotte was born in 1945 in, Turner Field, GA to the parents of Rhea Smith and Joseph Bienvenue.  Charolotte attended Spaulding High School before moving to Madrid, Spain. Upon returning from Madrid, she focused on raising her family and worked for many years at John Hancock Insurance. Charolotte was a visionary co-founder of the Amyloidosis Speakers Bureau launched in 2019, specifically Mackenzie's Mission, a cause near and dear to her heart. She poured her efforts into this disease that included social media posts, website blogs, and in-person presentations. She would speak about this disease to which there is no cure.  When COVID hit, she went virtual with many presentations that included 40 speakers.  She, along with a team of speakers would address first- and second-year medical students, which includes over 30,000 in just over two years.  Her dedication brought awareness of the difficulties that occur with Amyloidosis. She enjoyed spending the summers camping in New Hampshire with her husband Bob and formed special bonds with her camping neighbors.  We will never forget the compassion, kindness and generosity showed to Charolotte and Bob in the weeks preceding her death.  This amazing group of people made their summers more enjoyable by their caring efforts. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Raymond in September 2010 after reuniting with him on social media.  After many years of separation, they picked up where they left off when they were teenagers and created a wonderful and loving life together. She is survived by her beloved husband Robert N. Raymond of Delray Beach, Florida; daughters Kristen Weatherbee Smith of Delray Beach, Florida; Sherry and husband Robert Ortiz of Rochester; sons Eric and wife Kathleen of Rochester, Roderick of Somersworth; grandchildren Sean, Melissa, Kaylah, Katelyn, Lettie, Brennan, Zoe, Isabella, Alexander, great grandchildren Rylee, Finley and many extended family, and countless special friends. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Tufts Medical Center and Neely House for the loving care they provided.
