Claire C Bennett

Rochester - Claire C. Bennett, 96, died February 19, 2012 at the Hyder Family Hospice House. Born October 12, 1915 in Salem, MA. daughter of the late Peter and Laura (Menard) L'Italien. She was the widow of John "Jack" Bennett. After moving to Rochester from Beverly, MA in the late forties, she and her husband ran a sheet metal business, built a house and raised their family. Claire was a very loving mother, she loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved playing cards, Scrabble, reading and cross word puzzles. She also loved working in her flower garden at her home. She was an avid candlepin bowler and won several trophies for high score. She is survived by her children Jacqueline Bennett Brennan, James Bennett and wife Claire, Lynne Bennett Bergeron Cummiskey and her husband Bryon.
