Claire Norma Perreault

Claire Norma Perreault (McKeil), 82, Titusville, Florida, found eternal peace on February 12, 2020.  Her loving family helped her make her final journey after a brief illness. Claire was born on December 19, 1937 to James and Lucy (Gagne) McKeil, in South Berwick, ME. She was a graduate of Dover High School, Class of 1955. One year later, she married the love of her life, Donald Perreault on April 21, 1956.  They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary before Don passed away in 2017. Claire graduated from Gauvin's School of Hair Design in 1974 and worked for a couple of years at the Normandy before opening her own salon on West High St.  She finally retired in 1995 and she and Don became snowbirds at that time. Claire and Don began enjoying warm winters in Florida and even warmer summers at their camp on Horn Pond.  Claire especially loved to sit in the sun and watch her grandchildren and great grandchildren play near the water.  She enjoyed sitting on the deck, with a glass of wine watching the loons swim by. Claire enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting and bingo.  She crocheted a family heirloom for practically everyone she knew.  They were beautiful, lace doilies with the family name spelled out.  Every family member proudly displays, in their homes, their last name on one of these doilies.  These will be treasured forever!   She also was a skilled doll maker.  They were two dolls in one.  One side was an awake doll and then when the dress was flipped over there was a sleeping doll.  She made hundreds of them and sold them at craft fairs.  Claire especially enjoyed cooking and baking.  She loved to have all her family members gather at her summer camp and enjoy huge feasts as often as possible.  Time with her family was the most treasured aspect of Claire's life. Claire is survived by her five children, Sharon (Reggie) Lavoie, Titusville, FL, Gary (Donna Redden) Perreault, Rochester, NH, Lyn (Chris) Lavoie, Gonic, NH, Steven (Sheryl Limoges) Manchester, NH and Jeff (Sou Sihabouth) Perreault, Barrington, NH.  She also has ten grandchildren, Nicholas Lavoie, Anchorage, AK, Erin Duval, Goffstown, NH, Ryan Perreault, Rochester, NH, Wesley Perreault, Rochester, NH, BJ Lavoie, Milton, NH, Alex Lavoie, Weybridge, VT, Cassandra Emerson, Somersworth, NH, Andy Lavoie, Gonic, NH, Connor Perreault and Emma Perreault, Barrington, NH.  Claire also enjoyed six great grandchildren, Landon Duval, Logan Duval, Crosby Perreault, Nolan Perreault, Natalie Perreault and Jacob Lavoie. Claire is also survived by her sister, Patricia Demarais. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Perreault, her parents, James and Lucille McKeil, her sister Louise Hester and her brother, James McKeil. Our family is sincerely grateful to the Wentworth Hospice team and Abundant Blessings Home Care for the wonderful care and compassion you provided to our mom in her time of need.  Our amazing family friend, Leisa Wescott was instrumental in helping to facilitate everything we needed to bring our mom home for her final days.  We are blessed beyond measure for all her support to our family during this difficult time.
