Claudia Belair

The always beautiful Claudia Belair passed away December 23 at home with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Claude and Ida (Ricker) Patterson, born Oct. 15, 1947. She was sadly predeceased by her son Christopher Belair in 1993. Survived by her daughter Lynne Karkos, grandson Devin Karkos his fiancé Victoria Lombardi, and granddaughter Alyssa Karkos. In addition, she leaves behind sisters Judy Horne her husband Dick, Lori Richardson her husband Butch, brothers, Michael Patterson, Jon Patterson his wife Lyn, Donald Patterson his wife Tammy. Along with many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Claudia grew up in Somersworth NH on Lily Pond, the oldest of 6 children. Eventually would raise her children there too. Most of her younger years were spent caring for her younger siblings and playing with the cousins. Graduated Somersworth High then spent many years working at McDonalds and then retired from Wentworth Douglas Hospital. Claudia was a loving, caring person when she wasn't with her family she volunteered at soup kitchens, food pantries, assisting veterans, special Olympics, and the Girl Scouts. Watching football was her favorite pastime. Claudia loved spending time with her family she would be so exited every year for the holidays and the Family Reunion up Maine with all the cousins. Claudia will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her. A tree will be planted in her honor. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Pope Memorial Humane Society- Cocheco Valley.
