Farmington - Constance (Connie) Louise Harris, 80, passed away suddenly Saturday December 24, 2016 at Riverside Rest Home. Born October 18, 1936 in Sanford, ME, she was the daughter of the late C. Myron and Irene (Ormondroyd) Weeks. Connie could be best described as caring, thoughtful, and a leader in all she did. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. For the past six years she was elected to serve as the president of the Resident Council at Riverside Rest Home. As president she accomplished many things to better the residential conditions at Riverside. She directed a campaign to raise money to buy a new bus and van. She also made quilts and like items for the annual craft fair and assisted with many other community donation programs. This past May her selfless efforts were recognized by the State of New Hampshire when she was presented with a Vaughan Award by Governor Maggie Hassan at the State House. Members of her family include her children Steven Harris and wife Laurie of Lovettsville, VA; Michael Harris of Oxford, MA; Chuck Harris and wife Dottie of Douglas, MA; and Bradley Harris and wife Darlene of Nottingham, NH; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, her brother Richard Weeks and wife Betty of Berwick, ME; and sister Joyce Carr of Sanford, ME; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wendell R. Harris. Family and friends may visit Saturday December 31, from 9-11a.m. at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St., Rochester, NH.
