Cynthia Ruth Hoekstra, 70, passed away unexpectedly in her home on October 3, 2013. She was born in Northbridge, MA on January 8, 1943 to the late Mahlon and Eunice Graves. Cynthia graduated from Sutton High School in 1961 and attended Nursing School and then enjoyed her life as a homemaker. She moved to New Hampshire in 1978, and was a long time volunteer in Weare, NH at the food pantry & thrift shop. She was also a member of the Women of Hope. Cynthia enjoyed crafts, knitting, yard sales, and antiquing. She taught us to live simply and to live for Him in all that we do. Cynthia is survived by her husband of 50 years Ronald Hoekstra of Dover; three sons, David P. Hoekstra and his wife Wendy of Concord, Matthew E. Hoekstra and his wife Paula of Loudon, Andrew T. Hoekstra and his wife Tracey Flanders of Meredith; three daughters, Kristin L. Gosselin and her husband Gerry of Weymouth, MA, Lauren E. Fontaine and her husband Daniel of Dover, Andrea L. Hoekstra & her fiancé Joseph of Manhattan, KS; her brother Kenneth Graves of Uxbridge, MA; her sister Karen E. Tassey of Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Grace Capital Church in Pembroke, NH on Saturday October 26, 2013 at 4 pm. A reception will immediately follow.
