Daniel Huggard, age 70,of Rochester, New Hampshire passed through death into the presence of Jesus on November 9, 2021 surrounded by his family after a long struggle with lupus. Dan graduated from Spaulding High School in 1969 and the University of New Hampshire in 1973, earning an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Later in life, he earned a Master's degree in Christian Counseling from Liberty University. In1974, he married the love of his life, Susan Purvis Huggard of Barrington. They were married for 47 years and were the proud parents of 5 children and 12 grandchildren. His unwavering dedication to his family leaves a rich legacy of faith, integrity and love. Dan was a talented craftsman who owned and operated Huggard's Upholstery until his retirement. Dan became a follower of Jesus after college and ministered in many different settings including Barrington Evangelical Free Church, Seacoast Christian School, House of Hope Mission, and local nursing homes. For the past 23 years, Dan has had the joy of pastoring Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Rochester. One of his highlights every year was hosting the Christmas candlelight services at the church. Dan is predeceased by his parents, Clayton & Elsie Huggard; brothers, David & Gerald Huggard; children, Peter & Elizabeth Huggard; & grandson, Nathan Dean. Daniel is survived by his wife Susan Huggard; children, Samuel Huggard & wife Wendy of Alton, Hannah Dean & husband Nicholas of Dover, and Abigail Monahan & husband Timothy of Somersworth; and grandchildren, Nadia, Isabelle, &Seth Huggard, Grace, Luke, Kaylynn, & Iona Dean, and Beatrice & Samuel Monahan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 27th at 11:00am at True Memorial Baptist Church in Rochester.
