Somersworth - NH- Daniel Richard Mosandel, 44, of 63 Maple Street died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday Oct. 23, 2014. He was born July 27, 1970 in Buffalo, NY, the son of Carl L. Mosandel and the late Janice (Fisher) Mosandel. He has resided in Somersworth for the past four years previously living in Dover, NH. He worked as a welder for most of his career then worked at CCS as a collections specialist. Dan was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post # 7 of Rochester and was a past officer and active volunteer. He loved fishing and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees. Member of his family include his wife of 17 years, Christine (Smith) Mosandel of Somersworth; his father and step mother, Carl and Cheryl Mosandel of Rochester; brothers, Carl "Lenny" Mosandel, Jr. Rochester, John C. Mosandel, Lebanon, ME.; sister, Barbara Blair and husband Alan, Rochester; step brother, Jeff Hughson, Somersworth; step sisters, Lisa Wheeler and husband John of NC., Kristin Tilbe and companion Scott of Litchfield, NH, Joyell Mitchell and companion Lance ,Somersworth; grandparents, James and Maude Fournier, Rochester; mother-in-law, Lucille (Smith) Carter and husband Roger, Rochester; 2 brother-in-laws, Michael Smith and wife Nicole, N. Berwick, ME., Bill Smith and companion Tony, Chicago, IL ; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Peggy Mosandel. A celebration of life will be held Thursday November 6, 2014 at 7PM at the American Legion Post #7, Eastern Avenue, Rochester, NH. Family and friends may visit from 6-7 prior to the service.
