Darlene Towle

Strafford NH-Darlene Marie Towle, 69, of 121 Webber Rd went to be with the Lord Tuesday June 5, 2018 at her family home, which she built with her husband and 7 children.  Courageously, Darlene fought a 4 yearlong battle with cancer, daily surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born June 29, 1948 in Louisville KY, she is the daughter of Stanley and Mary Roberta (Clark) Brown. A resident of Strafford since 1988, Darlene worked as a paraprofessional at Strafford Elementary School, serving kindergarteners, which she loved.  Darlene had many friends and colleagues, who she fondly called her, "Strafford School Family".  More than anything Darlene loved and adored her family and grandchildren and recently began attending The Holy Rosary Church in Rochester with them. She enjoyed shopping, endless "girls days" with her daughters and granddaughters, Barnes & Noble adventures accompanied by a Starbucks beverage with her grandsons, frequent sleep-overs with her granddaughter Ashlynn, who she helped raise, and watching baseball and football with her sons, and grandsons.  Darlene relished the holidays, rotating between the homes of her children, especially looking forward to New Years gatherings with all of her children and grandchildren.  To celebrate this occasion, she would give each of them a personalized ornament and set of (sometimes matching) pajamas. She treasured spending time at White Lake with her family, each trip she would purchase a brand new massive float, for her and the grandchildren to share.  She loved the special time that she got to spend with her friends and savored every visit with her beloved family members.  She was overjoyed during her visits 'home' to Kentucky spending time her parents, siblings, nephews, nieces and great-nieces.  Darlene was an avid reader, who did so while sipping coffee on her beautiful garden porch. Darlene was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, James Daniel Towle Sr. She is survived by her children and grandchildren; Dienne & Keith Howard (Colby & Caiden), Cristin Towle (Brandon, Shane, Amber & Paityn), Carrie & Gregory Terry (Caleb, Hannah, Isaiah, Tabitha & Miriam), Jamie & Tony McKnight (Alyssa, Alyvia, Alyana & Ayden), Jessica Towle, James & Natasha Towle (Ashlynn, Alyza & Rylin) and Jonathan & Kendal Towle. Her siblings and their children; Lynn & Mike Turpen (Ryan & Nick) and Tim & Marva Brown (Tim & Mary). Her predeceased father-in law; Daniel Towle and predeceased mother-in-law (Ruth Greenlaw). Her predeceased brother-in-law; Lynn Towle (Jennifer, Lynn, Jason, Lynnette & Danny). Her sisters- in-law; Darlene & Tim Colwell-Ellis (Doug & Derek) and Sherri Towle (Shara, Danielle, Angela, Michael & Matthew). Along with many beloved family members
