Rochester - David Franklin Badger, Sr., 88, of 7C Wellsweep Acres, passed away Monday evening, June 7, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 20, 1922, overseas as he liked to call it, on Martha's Vineyard Island (you have to go over seas to get there), the son of Charles Edward and Hattie Desire (Baird) Badger. David joined the Army on December 7, 1942, and served in World War II in France and Germany. He was a self-employed landscaper and a talented stone and brick mason; his masonry was like artwork and was well known in the area and admired by all who saw it. There are many local fountains, fireplaces, and buildings that are beautiful because of Dave Badger creations. David was well known for his sense of humor; his jokes and pranks were part of his everyday life. He loved life and all that it brought him. After he gave up his driver's license, he could be seen riding his scooter through downtown Rochester to visit his many friends. He was an adventurer, too, riding in a hot air...
