Dawne E. Barratt

Rochester, NH- Dawne E. Barratt, 75, has entered into the gates of heaven after a lengthy illness. Born October 13, 1934 to Yvonne (Vanslette) Hoague & Alfred E. Hoague in Providence RI. She met & married the love of her life, Roland R. Barratt in Swanton VT on July 11, 1953. He was her devoted caregiver for over 18 years. They just celebrated 57 years of marriage. Although having to leave school in the 10th grade after the passing of her mother and to care for her little sister Emeline, she was very proud of graduating from the CNA program at Rochester Manor in mid-life. She spent most of her career giving loving care to others, retiring only after losing her sight to diabetes. She leaves behind four sons, Roland A. and wife Leona Coty Barratt of Hope RI, Steven I. (late Karen Parker Barratt) of Rochester, Dennis J. and wife Julie Miller Barratt of Portsmouth, NH, Leonard W. and wife Krystn Stokes Barratt of Rochester NH.
