MANCHESTER - Derek Charles O'Neil, 54, of 40 Thistle Way, died June 28, 2009 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, N.H.Born June 30, 1954 of Salem, Mass. He was the son of the late Donald and Marilyn (Lingren) O'Neil. He was the father of the late Derek C. O'Neil.He will be remembered for his excellent humor and endless love. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, softball, coaching Little League baseball for many years and founded the Senior Babe Ruth league in Nottingham, N.H. His favorite role was being a Grampy. He had a great love for music, old westerns, and mostly his family. To know him was to laugh with him. He was in the heating trade for 26 years and had become the best at what he did. Most recently he was employed for 12 years by J.A. Bourque & Sons Oil in Manchester.He is survived by his children, Jacob O'Neil of Wakefield, N.H., Michael O'Neil of Lebanon, Maine, and Leeanne Malone of Lebanon, Maine; his brothers, David O'Neil and wife, Patty, of Meuthen, Mass., Kevin O'Neil and wife, Leanne, of Salem, Mass., and Shawn O'Neil of Manchester; his sisters, Kristen Buck and husband, James, of Beverly, Mass., and Cheryl Jackson of Salem, Mass.; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Gage, Shamus, Cullen, and Aidan; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 1 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S.
