Menifee, CA - Devrey J. LaRiccia, 28, passed away unexpectedly on Friday August 2, 2024, from injuries sustained from a skydiving accident.
Born August 16, 1995, in Denver, Co, the daughter of Jeffrey and Karen (Vandeventer) LaRiccia.
Devrey was a graduate of Noble High School, and was working as a skydive instructor for Skydive Perris, in Perris, CA. Among some of her many interests include skydiving, both tandem and solo, videography, traveling, theatre, music of all genres and most of all she loved her family and her fur babies, Sir Gideon De Louis and Ariadne.
There aren't enough words in the English language to describe the way Devrey made others around her feel. She was special, the glue of her family, outstanding, awe-inspiring, breathtaking, stunning, and bizarre all at the same time. Her laugh could silence the loudest of crowds, and so would her smile calm the minds of her loved ones.
Members of her family include her parents Jeffrey and Karen LaRiccia of Lebanon, ME; her fiancé Fred Chase of Menifee, CA; her siblings Christopher Burth and wife Beckah of Charlestown, NH; Melissa Flores of Biddeford, ME; and Marcelline LaRiccia and husband Matthew of Sanford, ME; her paternal grandmother Victoria LaRiccia of Bluffton, SC; her maternal grandparents Sheryl and James Johnson of Ft. Lupton, CO; and Robert Vandeventer of Lebanon, ME; and five nieces, Kyi, Nevaeh, Olivia, and Julia Burth and Avelina Flores. She is pre-deceased by her paternal grandfather Louis LaRiccia.
Friends may call Wednesday Aug. 14, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM at the R.M. edgerly & Son Funeral Home 86 South Main St. Rochester, NH, Funeral Services will be held Thursday Aug. 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chaple of the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford, ME.
