Rochester - Diane Gahagan, 65, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday February 24, 2011 at the Rochester Manor with her brother Brian by her bedside. She had struggled for many years with multiple sclerosis, and now she is enjoying the presence of the Lord whom she loved. Born April 8, 1945 in Rochester, NH the daughter of Sidney and Eleanor (Fowler) Littlefield. She was a graduate of Spaulding High School class of 1963. She attended Wheaton College in Illinois for 1 year and graduated from UNH in 1968. She majored in math and physics. Diane worked for many years as a Lab Tech for Cobb Poultry Research. She was a former active member at True Memorial Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school and was the missionary treasurer and was also a Pioneer Girl leader. She enjoyed woodworking, knitting, gardening, cooking, camping, and hiking. Members of her family include her mother Eleanor Littlefield of Rochester, NH; her siblings Brian and Neal Littlefield of Somersworth, NH; Dana Littlefield of Nashua, NH; Donna Littlefield of Rochester, NH; Gail Hand of Kansas; and Fern Teshera of Oregon; ten nieces and nephews, six great nieces and nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Wesley Gahagan in 2000 and her father Sidney Littlefield in 1996. Family and friends may visit Tuesday March 1, 2011 from 1 - 2 PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. A funeral service will be held at 2PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
