Dorothy Mildred Carter

Sandown, NH- Dorothy Mildred Carter, 98, of North Road entered into her eternal rest on March 4 at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home. Born August 13, 1919 in Norwalk, Connecticut, Dorothy was the youngest of 12 children born to the late Ewald and Dora (Hyhn) Knorr. Dorothy was married to the late Raymond L. Carter, Sr. for nearly 76 years. They loved each other deeply and served as a great example of faith and commitment throughout their lives. They loved taking walks together daily. Dorothy and Ray lived in Norwalk until moving to the Maine/New Hampshire area in 2006. Dorothy was a lifelong member of the Community Advent Christian Church in East Norwalk, CT. She served in various capacities including teaching Sunday School. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life and brought her much peace and hope.
